Chilled Salted Caramel Sugar Cookie

These Chilled Salted Caramel Sugar Cookies are to die for! Another super delicious, super easy recipe that can easily be made from our versatile Sugar Cookie Mix! I used Trader Joe's Salted Caramel Sauce, but any thick jarred caramel sauce (such as Smuckers brand by ice cream in grocery store) will work. I would highly recommend chilling these and eating them cold, you won't be sorry!

Directions:

1 Vanilla Bean Sugar Cookie Mix

3/4 c. softened butter, salted

2 oz. cream cheese (Philadelphia brand preferred)

1 large egg

Frosting:

1/2 c. softened butter, salted

4 oz. softened cream cheese (Philadelphia brand preferred)

5 c. Powdered Sugar (C&H brand preferred)

3 Tbs caramel sauce

Milk

Flaky Sea Salt

Prepare and bake cookies according to directions. To end up with the size of cookie pictured, make 13.

Once cooled, prepare frosting.

Beat together butter and cream cheese, just until combined. Add in powdered sugar, caramel sauce, and 1/4 c. milk. Beat until smooth. Add in additional milk if needed to achieve smooth, spreadable consistency.

Frost cookies and lay on large cookie sheet, cover and place in refrigerator.

Once cold, remove from refrigerator. Place about 2 Tbs caramel sauce in a ziploc bag and seal. Microwave for about 10 seconds until soft and a little runny.

Cut off small corner of bag and drizzle caramel over cookies. Sprinkle with sea salt. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve!
